Positions available with a VERY cutting edge technology company doing 3D display with no glasses or headsets. Just 3D images in thin air in-front of and behind the display. Company is well funded having just closed a large A Series round and is founded and run by very bright proven players who have built and successfully released previous cutting edge technologies/companies.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an ideal candidate, you will use your skills as a pipeline software engineer to generate content for the world’s highest resolution holographic display ecosystem. You will have lots of experience with industry standard VFX tools and renderers, creating shaders, and programming/scripting to technically support an artist workflow for generating holographic content. You will work with real-time graphics SW engineers, digital artists, and light field experts.

JOB DUTIES:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Integrate VFX tools (e.g. Maya, Nuke, 3ds Max, Modo) for the purpose of rendering holographic video content for a gigapixel light field display
  • Develop custom tools (plugins, scripts and other utilities) to support various aspects of artist workflows for the generation of light field video
  • Create shaders for various VFX standard renderers (e.g. V-Ray, Redshift, Arnold)
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Technically support a Digital Artist
  • Interface with customers as necessary

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Comfortable with programming languages including C++11 and beyond, as well as Python
  • Able to create shaders for industry-standard renderers (e.g. V-Ray, Redshift, Arnold)
  • Strong knowledge of VFX tools (e.g. Maya, Nuke, 3ds Max, Modo)
  • Familiar with artist workflows and toolsets
  • Knowledgeable about 3D math and rendering algorithms
  • Familiar with computer graphics and imaging
  • Experience with Unity or Unreal is a plus
  • Experience with custom game engines is a plus
